Snow days call for adventure

I would like to take a moment and thank Ms. Patti Yorks, superintendent, for giving us two snow days in a row.

You are the real MVP.

Since school being closed for Friday, Feb. 26, was announced the day before, no alarms had to be set and many students slept in happily.

I started my day at 9:34 a.m., and I could not have been happier about it. I love being able to sleep in.

I spent the first part of my day with my father.  We ate omelets for breakfast and decided we wanted to see a movie.

The movie we decided on was “Eddie the Eagle.” I love inspirational movies and it was a good watch.

When I got home, I wrote a movie review about “Eddie the Eagle,” read some chapters in George Orwell’s “1984,” and, sadly, did the homework that went along with it.

Once I was finished, my cousin and I to decided to go on an adventure to work out and take a swim at Outdoor Adventures.

Where is there a better place to have an adventure than Outdoor Adventures?

We felt like we should exercise because we never do anything on snow days.

We jogged on the treadmill, exercised on the elliptical, and shed a few tears while we were doing it.

We wrapped up our trip to Outdoor Adventures by taking a swim in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub.

Once I got home, I ate a delicious dinner with my dad, which was a cheeseburger and green beans.

After hearing all of the good reviews, I watched the first episode of “Fuller House.” The season premiered Friday, Feb.26, on Netflix.

Near the end of my night, I video chatted with my best friend. We are planning a trip to Daytona Beach in the summer to celebrate our graduation this year.

To end my snow day, I played some PlayStation with my friends and then turned on Netflix, which, to me, was an amazing way to end an amazing day.
