The cheer team took third place on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at a league meet hosted by the Clio Mustangs.

Brandon snatched the league title, trailed by Clio.

With a total score of 738.76 points, the cheer team was only 20.72 points away from tying for first, and 3.78 points away from tying for runner-up.

Due to an injury that occurred minutes before the competition started, the team faced some “last-minute difficulties,” according to junior Hailey Baltosser.

“The team really came together and handled the situation well even though we faced some unexpected challenges,” Baltosser said.

The cheer team’s next competition is Saturday, Feb. 13, at Fenton.
