Cheerleaders get ready to tumble during round two at Davison on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The cheer team took second place on Saturday, Jan. 30, at a competition hosted by Grand Blanc.

The Brandon Blackhawks won the competition.

The cheerleaders earned a score of 224.2 points for round one, 203.08 points for round two, and 313.8 points for round three.

The team was less than five points away from winning the competition.

Junior Kassidy Krist was happy with the team’s round-three performance.

“Round one and two were great, but I am really happy with how round three turned out,” Krist said. “Our stunting was solid and our running tumbling turned out really great as well.”

The Hornets next competition is at home Saturday, February 6.
