The fall cheerleading team hits a stunt while at a home football game.

Cheerleading will host tryouts for the 2015-2016 competitive season Monday, Nov. 9.

To prepare, there will be a clinic from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the same day.

While there, participants will practice cheers, jumps, tumbling and other skills.

The tryouts will begin shortly after the clinic at 5 p.m.

All participants must have a physical on file dated after April 15, 2015, in order to try out.

No experience is needed for participants trying out for the junior varsity team.

Some gymnastic skills are preferred for the varsity team, but all students are welcome.

Coach Carrie Seymour hopes to see many new faces at the tryout and clinic.

“We are looking for girls who are dedicated with high energy and a positive attitude,” Seymour said.  “We (the coaches) hope to see everyone there.”
