The Eclipse has successfully completed its first year online.

Even though it is not the first year that The Eclipse has been publishing, it is the first year that it has been online.

In the past, The Eclipse was published once a month on paper.

Now that it is a news site, two to four new stories are published daily.

This school year, The Eclipse has published over 500 stories over sports, news, student life, opinion, and student life.

It has attracted readers near and far from everyday students and building administrators to people living in the community.

Principal Brian Wiskur is one of the readers The Eclipse has attracted.

He said the journalism students play a big part of the site’s success.

“The fact is that students are publishing current articles that are relevant, meaningful, and of good quality,” Wiskur said.”The Eclipse, actually, has exceeded my expectations.”

Some teachers also take interest in reading The Eclipse.

Mr. Jared Rawls, English teacher, said he likes the sports section and that he can access the site from anywhere.

“I like how the site is always updated,” Rawls said, “so I try to visit it once a week.”

Many students visit the news site in order to stay informed of school events.

Senior Gabe Burns is one of the students who visit the sites on a daily basis.

“I think the online Eclipse is a lot better than having a real paper newspaper,” Burns said. “I wish I had joined The Eclipse at the beginning.”
