Figgins then lost in the second and third rounds.

Junior Jordan Gohs and sophomore Bree Rosenbum, No. 3 doubles, also gained a point for the Hornets by winning their second and third rounds.

In the second round, Gohs and Rosenbum won against Clio, 8-4. In the third round, they also won against Swartz Creek 8-5.

Gohs was proud of her and her partner’s performance at the tournament.

“I was impressed with our performance because we lost to both Swartz Creek and Clio during the normal season but were able to pull through with wins against both teams at the tournament,” Gohs said.

The Hornets placed seventh overall this season in the Metro League with a total of two league points.
