Boys basketball finished its Metro League season with a 1-9 record.

Boys basketball defeated Fenton and fell to Holly and Linden in its three most recent games.

The Hornets will travel to Bad Axe Tuesday, March 3, for their last regular-season game against the Hatchets.

Fenton

The Hornets clawed the Tigers, winning 67-62 in a Valentine’s Day showdown Friday, Feb. 14.

Junior Jo Coleman led Kearsley with 24 points.

Holly

Kearsley fell 57-48 to Holly in a Metro League matchup Friday, Feb. 21.

Junior Braylon Silvas led the Hornets with 14 points.

Senior Gequez Pano chipped in 13 points.

Linden

The Hornets lost 65-38 to Linden in their final Metro League game Friday, Feb. 28.

Kearsley was outscored in the first three quarters of the game.

Coleman said he learned a lot this season, which was his first year on the varsity squad.

“I learned how to play on the varsity level, ” Coleman said. “That meant learning how to play selfishly and selflessly at the same time.”
