Boys bowling wins matches; Hammond takes bronze
The boys bowling team beat Fenton and Corunna Saturday, Feb. 8, by scores of 29-1 and 21-9, respectively.
Senior Ethan Burke led the Hornets against the Tigers with games of 211 and 218.
Against the Cavaliers, freshman Howie Hammond led the Hornets with a games of 210 and 194.
With the two victories, the Hornets’ record sits at 6-3, the Hornets are tied with Corunna for fourth in the Metro League.
Freshman Howie Hammond earned third place in the S&R Singles tournament Sunday, Feb. 9, at Monitor Lanes.
The Hornets will face ninth-ranked Linden Saturday, Feb. 15, at Holly Lanes.
Winning will not impact the Hornets’ Metro League rank unless last-place Holly upsets the Cavaliers.
