Boys bowling blasts the Martians
More stories from Molly Gunn
With winter break fast approaching, the boys bowling team battled for its last match of the year Wednesday, Dec. 18.
The Hornets triumphed over Goodrich, ending with a 28-2 victory at Grand Blanc Lanes.
Sophomore Gage Slagor led the team with a 257.
Senior Ethan Burke pitched in with a 233.
Junior Nicholas Ruggles bowled a 226.
Slagor continues to have high hopes for the season.
“I think it’s going to get better from here,” Slagor said. “We’ve been practicing hard and our team chemistry is growing strong, which was a problem earlier in the season.”
The Hornets are 2-1 in the Metro League.
The Hornets will clash with Clio Saturday, Jan. 4, at Colonial Lanes.
