Softball crowned district champion
The softball team won its MHSAA Division 2 district tournament, beating out Mt. Morris, Powers Catholic, and Clio high schools.
The team pounced on the Panthers, knocking out Mt. Morris 18-1.
The game took place Tuesday, May 28.
Charging against Powers, the Hornets reached double digits with a 10-6 victory Saturday, June 1.
To win the district championship against the Mustangs, senior Isabelle Easton hit a game-winning grand slam. Kearsley won 10-2 Monday, June 3.
The Hornets will take on Frankenmuth in an MHSAA Division 2 regional at KHS Saturday, June 8.
