For the Class of 2019, your time here at KHS is almost up.

Although this is your last week of high school, you can’t quite give up yet.

There are many important dates you need to remember as it gets closer to commencement.

So be sure to be aware of these important upcoming dates.

Senior Exams

Senior exams will start Monday, May 20. Starting with the 4th-hour exams. First-lunch students begin class at 11:12 a.m., while second- and third-lunch students start at 10:42 a.m. The 5th-hour exams are at 12:16 p.m., and the 6th-hour exams begin at 1:20 p.m.

The second portion of senior exams are Tuesday, May 21. Starting with the 1st-hour exams at 7:30 a.m., the 2nd-hour exams at 8:34 a.m., and the 3rd-hour exams at 9:38 a.m.

Cap, Gown, and Ticket Distribution 

Cap, gown, and ticket distribution will be held Friday, May 24, in the auditorium at 12:30 p.m. You must bring your completed check out card.

Alternate Cap & Gown Pick Up

Alternate cap and gown pick up is Tuesday, May 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the main office.

Senior Choice Awards (OPTIONAL)

The Senior Choice Awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, May 28, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The event is a fundraiser for the yearbook. Tickets are $5 for anyone attending the event, even the nominees.

Senior Athletic Awards Practice (REQUIRED)

Senior Athletic Awards practice will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium.

Honor Cords/NHS Stoles/Service Hour Cords Distribution

Honor cords, NHS stoles, and service hour cords will be distributed Wednesday, May 29, at noon in the media center.

Class Day (OPTIONAL)

Class Day is taking place Wednesday, May 29, at 1 p.m. in the gymnasium.

Senior Athletic Awards (BY INVITATION ONLY)

The Senior Athletic Awards ceremony will be Wednesday, May 29, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Honors Convocation Practice (REQUIRED)

Honors convocation practice will be held Thursday, May 30, at 8 a.m. in the auditorium.

Elementary and AMS Hall Walk (OPTIONAL)

The elementary and AMS hall walk is Thursday, May 30, at 9:30 a.m. The bus will transport the seniors from KHS to the schools.

Honors Convocation (BY INVITATION ONLY)

The honors convocation ceremony will be held Thursday, May 30 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Commencement Practice (REQUIRED)

Commencement practice will be Friday, May 31, at 9 a.m. at the Whiting Auditorium.

Commencement

Commencement will take place Saturday, June 1, at 7 p.m. at the Whiting Auditorium.

Once commencement is over, your time here at KHS is done and you will finally be a KHS alumna/alumnus.
