Tennis continues winning streak against Cavaliers

The tennis team beat Carman-Ainsworth on Monday, April 15, to remain undefeated.

The tennis team aced Carman-Ainsworth 6-2 on Monday, April 15.

Winning in the singles matches were seniors Lucia Goldbergdova and Briahna Greer.

At No. 3 singles, Goldbergdova served up her opponent 6-4, 6-1.

“The match went really good because I didn’t except to the win because I was losing,” Goldbergdova said. “But my coach cheered me on and I did it.”

Greer played No. 4 singles and closed out her opponent 8-1.

Kearsley also won all of its doubles matches.

Taking their second victory of the season, seniors Brooklyn Smith and Mickeely Dias, No. 1 doubles team, defeated their opponents 6-0, 6-1.

Winning their first match of the season, the No. 2 doubles team of sophomore Jacqueline Olivo and senior Allison Depottey swept their sets 6-0, 6-0.

The No. 3 doubles team of sophomore Megan Timm and junior Shelby Cranmer won their match 6-0, 6-1.

Juniors Samantha Timm and Makayla Nusbaum, No.4 doubles, won their match in two sets 6-0, 6-0.

Kearsley is 3-0 to start the season.
