The tennis team opened its season by defeating Durand 7-1 on Wednesday, April 3.

Winning for the singles flights were seniors Stephanie Lane, Chloe Clarambeau, Claudia Moore, and Lucia Goldbergerova.

Lane outscored her No. 1 singles opponent after three sets, winning the first set 6-0 and the third set 6-1.

Clarambeau swept her opponent at No. 2 singles, taking two sets 6-0.

Moore won at No. 3 singles with two sets of 6-0.

Goldbergerova, No. 4 singles, defeated her opponent with two sets by a margin of 6-1.

The No. 2 doubles team of seniors Emily Jones and Giulia Amato won its flight by scores of 6-2 and 6-0.

Seniors Ellena Dye and Ariel Desjardins, the No. 3 doubles team, won their sets 6-2 and 6-0.

Senior Briahna Greer and junior Kasey Palmer, the No. 4 doubles team, won both their sets 6-0.

The Hornets will travel to Delta College to compete against Bay City Western on Monday, April 8.
