Girls bowling is unstoppable

Sophomore Allison Eible threw strong games of 240 and 195 for the girls bowling team against Owosso on Saturday, Jan. 12.

Traveling to Colonial Lanes on Saturday, Jan. 12, the Hornets defeated Owosso in a league match with a final pinfall of 2,372-1,702.

The Hornets took out the Trojans from the beginning, bowling Baker games of 182 and 199 to Owosso’s 150 and 160.

This 10-0 lead was not shocking for the Hornets, as they moved into bowling individual games.

Throwing 1,006-775 in the first individual game and 985-617 in the second, the team swept the Trojans with a final score of 29.5-0.5.

Top scorers for the team were junior Imari Blond throwing 255 and 200; sophomore Allison Eible with games of 240 and 195; junior Samantha Timm knocking over 225 pins; and sophomore Emilea Sturk rolling 202 and 162.

At 9-0, the Hornets lead the Metro League with Flushing in second place with a record of 8-1.

Kearsley’s next match is against Linden on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Grand Blanc Lanes.
