On Saturday, Jan. 12, the powerlifting club traveled to North Branch to compete against Yale, Swartz Creek, Davison, and North Branch.

Senior Eddie Harris and junior Matt Mcginnis placed first in their weight classes.

Senior Dylan Buschur and sophomore Johnathan Luna placed second in their weight classes.

Kearsley lifters showed great determination and strength at the meet, and Harris said he liked how he performed.

“I felt confident that I would do well and my results confirmed that,” Harris said.

The Hornets will only be taking the girls to their next meet Saturday, Jan. 26, at Birch Run.
