Cheer finishes 10th at Stony Creek

The competitive cheer team stunted its way to victory.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, the competitive cheer team took 10th place at Stony Creek for the Cougar Spirit Invitational.

Allen Park won first place with 785.18 points.

Mona Shores took second with a total of 777.96 points.

Gibraltar Carlson took third with a total of 777.74 points.

Kearsley earned 230.56 points in round one, 209.34 points in round two, and 293.70 points in round three.

The cheerleaders left Stony Creek with a total of 733.60 points.

Sophomore Lilli Dolan said that she’s proud of her team.

“I think we did good because we went against some of the toughest teams in Michigan, and we scored the highest we ever did in round one,” Dolan said.

The Hornets’ next league competition is Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Clio.
