The girls bowling team defeated Owosso on Wednesday, Dec. 19. and is continuing its undefeated season.

The girls bowling team dominated the Owosso Trojans 28-2 on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

The Hornets entered the match knowing the pressure was on to continue their undefeated season.

Starting the match, the Hornets came out with Baker games of 168 and 193 to the Trojans’ 126 and 119.

Winning the two Baker games, the team took a 10-0 lead against Owosso as they moved into individual games.

Each Hornet won their individual match in the first round with an overall score of 932 to Owosso’s 860.

Total pinfall was in favor of Kearsley 2,331 to 1,800.

The Hornets’ record stands at 5-0 as they sit at the top of the Metro League.

High scorers for Kearsley were junior Imari Blond, rolling games of 199 and 248, senior Alexis Roof with 205 and 185, and junior Allison Eible, throwing games of 221 and 164.

Roof is not surprised that her team is continuing its undefeated season.

“We have worked really hard since the summer,” Roof said. “I am glad to see that it is paying off.”

Kearsley will compete in the Davison Mixed Doubles tournament Saturday, Dec. 28, at Richfield Bowl.
