Girls bowling continues winning streak

The girls bowling team continues its winning streak, defeating Holly 30-0.

The Hornets traveled to Cherry Hill Lanes in Clarkston for their Metro League match Saturday, Dec. 8.

Having Baker games of 172 and 179 to Holly’s 72 and 105, the girls gained a 10-0 lead against the Bronchos.

Kearsley continued the momentum moving forward into the individual play, scoring games of 886 and 1,012 to the Bronchos 441 and 481.

Final pinfall for the Hornets was 2,249 to Holly’s 1,099, leaving the final score 30-0 in favor of Kearsley.

Top scorers for Kearsley were senior Alexis Roof with 206 and 208, junior Imari Blond scoring 199 and 223, sophomore Megan Timm with 183 and 200, junior Hannah Simms with 192, and junior Samantha Timm rolling 189.

This victory leaves the Hornets’ record at 3-0 in the Metro League.

The girls’ next match will set one team at the top of the league — Kearsley or Flushing — since both teams are tied for first place.

The match is at Richfield Bowl, Wednesday, Dec. 12, as the Hornets take on the Flushing Raiders.
