Girls’ bowling adds another win to their streak

The Hornets beat Brandon 30-0 on Feb. 7, adding another win to their streak. The streak is now at 53 consecutive league victories.

Leading the team was senior Kayla Emmendorfer, who bowled two 226 games for a 452 series.

In the first baker game the Hornets got off to a slow start beating Brandon by 28 pins with a 147 game.

In the second baker game, the Hornets improved their game and shot a 172 game for a 319 series compared to Brandon’s 129 game and 245 series.

Winning the second baker game allowed the Hornets to take an early 10-0 lead.

As the first individual game began, the Hornets were not about to let their opponents try to come back.

Emmedorfer shot the high game of 226 with her teammates shooting just as well.

Juniors Alexxa Flood and Hannah Ploof shot games of 225 and 214, respectively, while seniors Haleigh Rybka and Teagan MacDonald shot 200 and 218, respectively.

The Hornets took all nine points during the first individual game shooting a 1,083 series to Brandon’s 629 series.

In the second individual game, the Hornets continued to bowl at their best with senior Morgan Stephen shooting a 238 game.

The Hornets won all nine points during the second individual game, shooting a 1,031 series to Brandon’s 670 series. The Hornets also took two points for beating Brandon in totals for both of the individual games.

The Hornets won 30-0, shooting a 2,433 series for both individual games and baker games compared to Brandon’s 1,557 series.
