Braziel leads cross country, earns medal at Frankenmuth

The cross country teams competed in the Frankenmuth Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 20.

The Hornets’ top three runners at the meet were junior Raydoffa Braziel, with a time of  18:50, junior Justice Sutcliffe, with a time of 19:37, and senior Josh Bischoff, with a time of  23:30.

Overall, Braziel placed 25th, earning a medal. Sutcliffe finished 41st, while Bischoff ran for 99th.

For the girls, freshman Olivia Benson finished the 5,ooo-meter race in 25:00, good for 49th place.

In addition, sophomore Lexa Jones placed 83rd, with a 27:30 finish.

The Hornets will compete at Owosso for the Metro League’s second jamboree on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
