More stories from Ruth Erickson
Student Council is hosting a lock-in Feb. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Children from Kearsley, Richfield Academy, and Holy Rosary in second through sixth grades will attend.
Junior Carryn White, Student Council vice president, will be attending the lock-in.
“We are basing our attendance off of the National Honor Society lock-in,” White said. “Our goal is 300 to 400 children.”
The children will be able to swim, play basketball and football in the gym, play Wii games in the cafeteria, and participate in other activities.
Concessions will be sold to raise more money.
The lock-in is a fundraiser for the Student Council trip to Traverse City for the state leadership conference in late March.
Any Student Council member working the lock-in will earn money toward their trip.
