The boys bowling team downed the Flushing Raiders 20-10 on Saturday, Jan 13, at Holly Lanes, moving the Hornets into a first place tie with Swartz Creek in the Metro League.

In the first Baker game, the Hornets were defeated by the Raiders 226-181.

Kearsley made a comeback during the second Baker game, winning 192-176.

After totals being counted, Flushing had won 403-373, earning the Raiders a 6-4 point advantage.

The Hornets defeated Flushing in the team game portion of the match 1,074-1,002. Contributing to that win was senior Jake Reid with a 290 game, sophomore Lawson Bowshaw shooting 216, senior Chase Gebhart bowling 213, and senior Seth Varner with 194.

In the second team portion of the match, Boshaw led the Hornets shooting a 236. Following Boshaw was Gebhardt with a 195, and the combination of Varner, junior Kyle Langworthy, and junior Nathan Maxwell all bowling games of 190.

Kearsley is 6-1 in the league, tied with Swartz Creek, while Flushing sits in third (5-2).
