Girls who won medals at the Owosso quad match Saturday, May 6, show off their awards with the rest of the team.

The tennis team saw action Saturday, May 6, at a quad meet in Owosso.

Taking third place with a total of 20 points, the Hornets fell just behind Owosso, who had 21 points.

Durand took first place with 29 points and Lansing Eastern placed fourth with 10 points.

Sophomores Stephanie Lane (No. 1 singles) and Claudia Moore (No. 4 singles) each placed second in their flights and received medals.

Three doubles teams also gathered second-place medals: No. 2 doubles Hannah Hendley, junior, and Brooklynn Smith, sophomore; No. 3 doubles, Mallory Teed, junior, and Kiah Watters, sophomore; and No. 4 doubles, Ariel Desjardins, sophomore, and Kasey Palmer, freshman.

The Hornets appear next at Flushing on Tuesday, May 8, at 4 p.m.
