Kearsley defeated LakeVille 67-36 in the Holiday Classic game that took place at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Dec. 26.

The Hornets opened the game with an 18-5 first quarter lead and never looked back.

The boys’ victory over LakeVille moved the basketball team’s overall record to 3-2. Its league record is 1-2.

Senior Anton Webster and junior Dietrick Young led the team in points with 12 apiece.

The Jenkins brothers Bryce, senior, and Coi, junior, each scored 10 points, while senior Jamarcus Elerson-Porter added seven points to the scoreboard.

Bryce Jenkins made five assists, while Coi Jenkins snatched seven steals.

Webster grabbed seven rebounds and tallied five steals.
