Boys bowling begins season with a win
The boys bowling team defeated Fenton 29-1 on Saturday, Dec. 3.
The Hornets won both of the Baker games taking the 10-0 lead.
After the first individual games, the teams combined scores totaled 1,091, giving them a great start to the season.
The top bowlers of the day were senior Brandon Wheeler, with pinfalls of 259 and 201, and junior Jake Reid, with games of 232 and 224.
Wheeler said that the win boosted the team’s confidence.
“I feel that the team bowled very well,” Wheeler said. “We needed the win more to boost confidence in the team more than the win on the record.”
The Hornets’ next appearance will be a double match at Cherry Hill Lanes North in Clarkston on Saturday, Dec. 10. The first match begins at 9:30 a.m. and the second match will follow at 12:30 p.m.
