Senior Choice Awards will take place on Tuesday, May 31.

Most accident prone, most likely to be late for graduation, and most school spirited are just some of the many categories in the Senior Choice Awards.

Senior Hannah Ploof believes it is accurate that students are voting her for “most accident prone.”

“I feel like it is accurate, and it is funny,” Ploof said. “I am pretty clumsy. I am not gonna lie.”

The awards will be given out Tuesday, May 31, at 7 p.m. in the KHS auditorium.

Seniors were given the superlative sheet to fill out in their English classes, and the sheet was due May 9 to Ms. Kari Shaw.

Senior Reyana Rivera is excited for the Senior Choice Awards.

“I am excited to be with all of the class and see who wins,” Rivera said. “I hear I was voted to be ‘most likely on their phone,’ which is funny but true.”

Other categories, like teacher’s pet, most careless driver, and most opinionated are “a little bit mean,” according to some students, including senior Kate Weycker.

“I can see why most careless driver is funny, but it could hurt whoever wins it,” Weycker said.

Certain categories have been left off like “most athletic,” making some students upset because of it.

Senior Alexxa Flood does not like that “most athletic” was left off the list.

“I think the Senior Choice Awards are a cool way to end senior year,” Flood said. “But categories that have always been put on in past years are not included this year. I was really looking forward to the most athletic award. But it is not a category this year, so that is disappointing.”

Senior Mariah O’Leary believes some of the awards will turn into a popularity contest.

“I am excited to see those who actually deserve the awards receive them,” O’Leary said. “Some of the awards will be turned into a popularity contest, and it brings the fun out of them.”

The rest of the categories that are in the Senior Choice Awards are: class rebels, best dressed, most outgoing, most musical, class clowns, best best friends, biggest metamorphosis, cutest couple, best personality, best all-around, cutest couple that never was, worst case of senioritis,  most friendly, most likely to become famous, most likely to succeed, best smile, best eyes, class snoozer, most likely to wear sweats to an interview, next Picasso (best artist), most likely to become a model, and most likely to invent something.
