Kearsley’s golf team defeated the Swartz Creek Dragons 171-182 on Tuesday, April 26.

Senior Brian Sams and sophomore Jack Vollmar led the team together with 41 strokes apiece.

Junior Connon Vansteenburg was in a close third, carding a 43.

This is the team’s first league win of the season, putting them in a fourth-place tie with three other teams.

The Hornets are preparing to take on many teams at the Traverse City Central Invitational at the Grand Traverse Resort on Friday, April 29.
