I absolutely loved the play “Mmmbeth,” which was put on by the Drama Club.

What’s even better is that the audience really got into it too.

The play is a comedy based off of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.”

It is a theater myth that no one can say the actual name of “Macbeth” or bad things will happen, thus the name of the play was “Mmmbeth.”

It had similarities to Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” but also had many comedic twists.

When there were fight scenes, it had you on the edge of your seat. And when there was comedy, everyone could not help but laugh.

Senior Chance Wikaryasz, who played Mmmbeth, had the lead role along with junior Camille “Cami” Clarambeau, who played Lady Mmmbeth.

“I had a lot of fun playing Lady Mmmbeth and cannot wait for the next play,” Clarambeau said.

I was extremely impressed with the play and how well the acting skills were. It was a comedy, but still had the darkness of “Macbeth.”

The play had great lighting, music, and effects, including a fog machine, making the setting of the play realistic.

But over everything, the cast members and directors made it a success.

The play was awesome. It was really funny, and I enjoyed it a lot.

They all worked hard for this, and I can truly see how all of their hard work has paid off.

Members of the audience were enthusiastic after the play. They all gathered outside of the auditorium to talk to the cast and tell them how awesome the play went.

Senior Mariah O’Leary was thrilled at how well the cast and her friends performed.

“The play was awesome. It was really funny, and I enjoyed it a lot,” O’Leary said. “I loved seeing everyone on stage and doing what they love and seeing them in their comfort zone.”

Senior Julie Lemon, student director, was excited too.

“I am glad the play went as planned,” she said. “The audience really enjoyed it, and we had a great turnout for a Thursday night.”

“Mmmbeth” premiered Thursday, Jan. 21., in the KHS auditorium. It will be performed again tonight, Jan. 22., at 7 p.m.

The play was amazing. It had action, romance, lots of laughs, and is family friendly.

Director of the Drama Club, Mr. John Hall, was pleased with the premiere and is excited for the second performance tonight.

“The cast is amazing, and we all had a great time producing this play,” Hall said. “We worked very hard over the past couple of months on this, and I am happy on how well it turned out.”
