Girls’ basketball beaten by Davison

The girls’ basketball team fell to the Davison Cardinals 46-32 on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

The Hornets played strong in the first half, playing about even with the Cardinals. Kearsley trailed Davison 23-22 at the end of the first half.

Junior Brittney Dick led the Hornets with 12 points making four baskets from the field and adding four free throws.

Senior Diane Bond also made herself known by putting up six points. She had one 3-pointer and made three free throws.

Freshman Mackenzie Ramey put in work with eight rebounds and four points.

After the first half, the Hornets fell off, only scoring three points in the third quarter.

In the second half, Davison outscored the Hornets 23-12.

With the loss, the Hornets are now 2-5 overall and remain 0-2 in the league.

Kearsley looks to break its current losing streak against Fenton on Friday, Jan. 8.
