Flushing downs girls’ basketball
The girls’ basketball team fell to Flushing 64-15 on Friday, Dec. 18.
Kearsley was not able to get the offense going throughout the game, totaling 12 turnovers.
At the half, the Hornets were trailing the Raiders 31-9.
Junior Brandi Morgan led the team on offense, scoring six points with two 3-pointers.
Senior Emalie Lewis put in work, scoring four points, along with three rebounds.
Overall, Flushing dominated the Hornets with pressure defense. The Raiders also powered through offensively by hitting from the 3-point line.
With the loss, the Hornets are 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the Metro League.
The team will look to make the home crowd happy before the holidays, trying to get a victory of LakeVille on Tuesday, Dec. 22. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
