Boys’ bowling wins tournament, girls take second

The boys’ bowling team won the Kick Off the Season Baker Eliminator on Sunday, Dec. 6.

The Hornets ended up as the No. 1 seed after the qualifying round at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing.

In head-to-head competition, Kearsley advanced to the semifinals, competing against Sandusky.

The Hornets beat Sandusky by one pin, 419-418, and advanced to the final.

Kearsley lost the first two games to Carman-Ainsworth but won the last four games, claiming the tournament crown.

Girls

The girls’ bowling team finished second at the same tournament.

At the end of the qualifying round Kearsley was seeded No. 2.

After advancing to the semifinals, the Hornets bowled against Vandercook Lake, winning 362-360.

The Hornets then advanced to the final where they fell to Jackson, losing four games and winning one.

Kearsley ended the tournament in second place.
