The baseball team lost three and tied one game this week.

The baseball team went winless in four games this week, managing a tie in one of the games.

Kearsley vs. Corunna

The Hornets lost to the Cavaliers in the first game 8-4 on Wednesday, May 25.

Seniors Nolan Crannie and Ryan Bennett led the team on offense, each knocking two hits.

The second game was close, going three extra innings before being called as a 7-7 tie.

Junior Ryan McCoy took advantage of the extra chances as he tallied three hits to lead the team.

Kearsley vs. Clio

The Hornets went out to Clio and lost both games of a doubleheader on Monday, May 23.

Game one was an 8-3 loss.

Junior Mitchell Conely led the team offensively with two hits.

The Hornets lost the second game 9-3.

Bennett led Kearsley on offense with a hot bat, smacking three hits.

The team has ended its season with a 7-20-1 record overall, 2-13 in the Metro League.

The Hornets will now prepare for the MHSAA District Tournament at Flushing on Saturday, June 4.
