Boys’ bowlers prepare to defend state title

After winning the conference, regional, and state championships last year, the boys’ bowling team is looking forward to another successful season.

Senior Lucas Schofield said the Hornets can have another great season.

Schofield said, “Depending who is on the team, we will be very successful like last year.”

The Hornets look to return three top 16 bowlers from last year’s state individual final.

Junior Chad Stephen placed 8th, senior Brandon Richard was 9th, while senior Anthony Kelley was tied for 15th.

Tryouts began Nov. 17 and continue on Nov. 19 and 20 at Richfield Bowl at 3 p.m.

The first match of the season is Dec. 6 at Richfield Bowl. The Hornets will take on Fenton at 2 p.m.
