Girls basketball ended its season during the first round of the Division 3 District 4 championship Monday, March 2.

Girls basketball ended their season during the first round of the MHSAA Division 3 District 4 Championship Monday, March 2, falling to Davison 49-43.

The Hornets round out their season second in the stripes division of the Metro League.

The team ended 8-2 in the stripes division, 12-3 in the Metro League, and 15-6 overall.

Senior JaKeira Wash believes the team never gave up.

“We would never give up but this wasn’t our best game,” Wash said.

Wash is proud of the season, as it is her last high school basketball season.

“Believe it or not, this was one of my favorite seasons,” Wash said. “I was able to see a lot of growth in not just myself but my entire team.”
