Quiz bowl undefeated at Metro League opener
Quiz bowl went undefeated at the first Metro League meet Wednesday, January 29.
The first match was supposed to be played against Lapeer but the Lightning forfeited by not showing up.
Kearsley won the second match against Flushing with a score of 370-140.
Senior Chris Moyer contributed 7 questions, totaling to 105 points.
The team scored 10 bonus questions over two 10-minute tossup-bonus rounds.
During the second match there was only one early buzz that the Hornets failed to answer.
The third and final match saw the Hornets take on Brandon. The Hornets won 410-75.
The Hornets took six early buzz deductions in the match, losing 30 points.
Senior Connor Earegood scored 12 questions, adding 180 points to match’s score.
The Hornets will visit Swartz Creek Wednesday, Feb. 5, for their next meet.
