Girls basketball won 57-35 against Linden during a Metro League game Friday, Jan. 24.

The Hornets took charge early on, leading 23-8 in the first quarter.

Out of the Hornets’ 10 players, nine scored points in the game.

Senior Sydney Walker believes the team improved throughout the game.

“The game went well,” Walker said. “We improved on both running our offensive plays and our passing, which is something that has been big in practice.”

Walker is excited to see where the rest of the season takes the Hornets as she feels it will be toward a positive ending.

“I feel as though we will do good the rest of the season with a really good chance to win the League and go to the postseason on a high note,” Walker said.

The Hornets are now 8-3 overall and 7-0 in the Metro League.

Kearsley will visit Corunna Tuesday, Jan. 28 on the road.
