Boys basketball fell to Fenton 48-47 in a Metro League showdown Friday, Jan. 10.

The Hornets started the game off strong, holding the Tigers scoreless until the last minute of the first quarter.

The Hornets wrapped up the quarter leading 18-3 with a buzzer beater from junior Braylon Silvas.

The team let Fenton scrape back with 15 points during the second quarter. The Hornets scored four.

Kearsley ended the first half up 22-18.

Fenton quickly closed the gap in the third quarter, ending with a 36-32.

The fourth quarter consisted of a back and forth battle between the two teams before Fenton secured the one-point victory.

Silvas led the team offensively with 15 points.

The Hornets will travel to Clio Tuesday, Jan. 14, for their next game.
