Basketball team loses district semifinal by buzzer-beater
Kearsley lost its Class A district semifinal game 50-48, due to a buzzer-beater by Carman-Ainsworth’s Jaylen Bradley.
With the game tied at 48, Bradley tipped in a missed shot just ahead of the final horn, clinching the win for the Cavaliers.
The game was played at Davison High School.
Senior Anton Webster led the Hornets with 13 points. He also pulled down five rebounds.
Senior Bryce Jenkins finished with 11.
Junior Dietrick Young chipped in nine points and led the team with six rebounds.
Kearsley finished its season 12-9 overall.
