Soccer ties game, loses game
The soccer team played Lake Fenton and Goodrich this week, tying one game and losing the other.
The Hornets tied with Lake Fenton 2-2 on Monday, Sept. 30.
Seniors Matthew Limon and Noel Gagne each scored a goal.
The team fell to Goodrich on Wednesday, Oct. 2, by a score of 5-1.
Junior Caleb Lasley feels that despite the losses, the team is improving from past years.
“This is the best record we’ve had since I’ve started (in) the program,” Lasley said. “Overall, I’m happy with our performance as a team.”
The games bring the team’s record to 3-7-1 in the Metro League and 6-9-1 overall.
The Hornets are tied with Clio for sixth place in the Metro League.
Visiting Carman-Ainsworth, the Hornets will play a non-conference game Monday, Oct. 7.
