Golf ends season at regional

The golf team earned 17th place with 399 strokes at an MHSAA Division 2 regional at Mason’s Eldorado golf course on Wednesday, May 29.

The golf team carded a 399 in an MHSAA Division 2 regional, taking 17th out of 19 teams Wednesday, May 29.

The tournament was held at Eldorado, a golf course in Mason.

DeWitt won the tournament with a 296, while runner-up Haslett golfed a 316. Mason finished third with a 319.

Leading the Hornets, senior Tyler Gronauer recorded 92 strokes.

Seniors Stephen White and Logan Loyer shot a 96 and 99, respectively.

With 112 strokes, senior Keegan Cummings contributed to his team’s total.

Following close behind, senior Devin Smith finished with a 114.

The Hornets ended their season with the performance, as neither the team nor its individual golfers qualified to play at the state final.
