The boys’ basketball team faced Lake Fenton on March 5 and brought home the win with a final score of 66-58.

Coach Paul Adas said he was proud of how well the Hornets applied defensive pressure to finish the game in the fourth quarter.

“The team picked up the defensive intensity in the fourth quarter and turned around a six-point deficit into an eight-point victory,” Adas said. “I am really proud of the team’s growth and their ability to close out games in the fourth quarter.”

Senior Jalen Gallery led the team with 13 points.

Senior Anton Webster had a great game with 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Kearsley’s ability to close-out close games is the reason for this win.

“Hopefully, this come-from-behind victory will give our team some momentum going into the district playoffs,” Adas said.

The Hornets are 11-8 overall and 7-7 in the Metro League.
