‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ will come to life soon
The spring play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” premieres March 20 at 7 p.m. Showings will also occur March 21 at 7 p.m. and March 22 at 3 p.m.
The play will include many fight scenes and “fairy magic,” as Mr. John Hall, co-director, said.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” set in 1900s Athens, is about a young girl named Hermia whose father is forcing her to marry a boy (Demetrius) whom she does not love, so she decides to run away into the forest with her current beau.
Hermia’s best friend, Helena, goes to Demetrius and tells her of Hermia’s escape, upon which they both go into the forest.
While in the forest, a bunch of fairies play tricks on the Athenians.
Hall is eager for audiences to see the play.
“It is the best play so far,” Hall said. “We just keep getting better.”
