The golf team lost to Linden on Tuesday, April 30, at the Flint Elks Country Club.

The golf team lost to Linden at Spring Meadow Golf and Country Club, carding a 201 to the Eagles’ 193 on Tuesday, April 30.

Seniors Logan Loyer and Stephen White led the Hornets with 47 strokes each.

Seniors Devin Smith and Tyler Gronauer shot a 53 and 54, respectively.

Loyer said the weather proved to be an obstacle for the team.

“With the weather and lack of time to practice, (it) made the match difficult, which resulted in a loss,” Loyer said. “I didn’t play my best round, but I played all right since the weather was garbage.”

The team is 1-2 in Metro League play.

The Hornets will take on Swartz Creek at the Flint Elks Country Club on Tuesday, May 7.
