Baseball, softball take on Blue Devils in season openers

The baseball team fell short to Lake Fenton on Monday, April 8.
Kearsley lost 7-4 in the first game and 4-1 in the second game.
Senior Kyle Langworthy, right fielder, said that the team has room for improvement.
“If we limit the mental mistakes (during games) and play our game, we will be in any game,” Langworthy said.
The Hornets will be back in action Thursday, April 11, at Lapeer.
Softball
Facing Lake Fenton, the softball team earned mixed results, dropping its first game 2-1 but taking the second 8-1 on Monday, April 8.
Senior Halle Parish and junior Alexis Echols led their team offensively.
The team will kick off Metro League play Monday, April 22, with a home game against Clio.
