Girls basketball throttles Linden
The girls basketball team defeated Linden 62-6 at its league game Tuesday, Jan 5.
Kearsley took control of the game and maintained it with each Hornet contributing to the winning score.
The girls are ecstatic about such a large win for their team.
Senior Zaria Mitchner feels that even though there was not much competition, the team still played its best.
“Last night’s game was just as important as the others. We still can’t overlook teams, so we played our best,” Mitchner said. “We ran our offense well and our defense was amazing. Overall, we played a great game.”
The team’s record is now 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the Metro League.
The Hornets’ next game is Friday, Jan. 11, at Owosso.
