Boys basketball’s rally falls short at Flushing
The Raiders surpassed the boys basketball team on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The Hornets played hard but eventually fell to Flushing 35-32.
Senior Saif Dawan led the team with 16 points, following behind was sophomore Braylon Silvas, scoring another 10 points for the Hornets.
Kearsley was down 12 points at the end of the third quarter.
The team redeemed itself in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Raiders by nine points, but it wasn’t enough.
The Hornets attempted to sink a shot at the buzzer to tie the game, but it missed the mark.
Coach Paul Adas said he wants to see improvement in the team’s technique.
“It’s hard. We’re learning to execute and trying to learn how to win games,” Adas said.
Kearsley is 2-1 overall, 0-1 league.
The Hornets take on Fenton in a home game Friday, Dec. 14.
