Braziel leads cross country team at regional

Junior Raydoffa Braziel placed 19th at the Division 2 cross country regional Saturday, Oct. 27, at Delta College.

Junior Raydoffa Braziel made it into the top 20 at the cross country team’s MHSSA Division 2 regional at Delta College on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Braziel placed 19th with a time of 17:15 in the 5-kilometer race.

The boys team placed 10th out of 13 teams.

The top three teams were Corunna (27), Flint Powers Catholic (81), and Alma (108).

Kearsley scored 271 points at the meet.

Kearsley’s other scorers were sophomore Bailey Palmer, who was 40th in 18:27;  junior Justice Sutcliffe, finishing 59th in 19:31; freshman Tristan Sutcliffe, placing 75th in 20:42; and senior Josh Bischoff, who ran a 21:04 for 79th place.

The girls team did not have a complete team.

Sophomore Lexa Jones was the only runner for the Hornets. She finished 70th with a time of 24:31.

This was the last meet to complete the season.
