Lay’s released a new flavor of Poppables, creating a flavorful trio.

Lay’s is broadening its products by introducing its new Poppables™ flavor to the market.

Originally, Lay’s Poppables were only available in two flavors: White Cheddar and Sea Salt.

Sophomore Brooke McCulley has tried the Poppables and does not care for them.

“I didn’t really like them. They have a weird texture,” McCulley said. “I like normal chips better.”

Sophomore Korrigan Rusher hasn’t tried the Poppables, but wants to in the future.

“I love all kinds of chips,” Rusher said, “Poppables shouldn’t be an exception.”

Now, with their new release of the flavor Honey BBQ, there are three flavors to try.

All three varieties are being sold at Walmart among many other popular stores.

“There’s something about the light texture & airy, crispy crunch of new Lay’s Poppables™ potato snacks that makes you go, ‘Mmmm.’ It could be the bite‑size, perfectly popped shape. Or maybe that it’s deliciously seasoned with white cheddar, both inside and out,” Lay’s said when describing their White Cheddar Poppables. “Either way, with about 50 pieces per serving, Lay’s Poppables™ potato snacks are perfect to pop open any time of the day.”

Alexandra from, Lay’s Consumer Relations, was glad to explain what made Lay’s think about making Poppables.

“We were inspired to make snacking fun,” Alexandra said. “Poppables are delicious, multi-dimensional, light-textured, packed with flavor, and fun to eat.”
