Hockey shut out by LakeVille in pre-regional final

United had a rough game against LakeVille on Thursday, March 1, losing 6-0.
The MHSAA Division 1 pre-regional game was played at Dort Federal Event Center.
The team couldn’t find the offensive prowess it has had in previous games, and the defense couldn’t give goaltender Tyler Keller, a Kearsley junior, the opportunity to stay in the game.
The loss eliminates United from the tournament, ending its season.
Kearsley senior Dru Sweers finished atop the team’s scoring sheet, scoring 35 goals and assisting on another 25 this season.
The team finishes the season 13-13, with one overtime loss.
