Senior Kyle Palka fights for a rebound against Swartz Creek on Monday, Feb. 19.

The boys basketball team lost both of its games surrounding the weekend.

On Friday, Feb. 16, Owosso beat Kearsley 39-34 in a low-scoring contest at Owosso during senior night.

The Trojans were up 18-14 at the half and then scored 17 in the third quarter only giving up 10.

Kearsley’s top scorers for the night were sophomore Gequez Pano with 15 points and junior Trevor Shaheen with 13 points.

Kearsley is now 7-12 overall, and 3-12 in the Flint Metro League.

The next game is Friday, Feb. 23, at Clio. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
